Strong signal for retail, gastronomy and services: A long-term strategic partnership between Beyond by RS2 and SwiPay reaches the next payment level for payments at the point of sale and in e-commerce in the DACH region.
FRANKFURT, Germany | Baar, Switzerland – December 19, 2025 – Beyond by RS2, the innovation brand of RS2 Financial Services GmbH, and SwiPay are entering into a strategic partnership to take merchant payment in the D-A-CH region to the next level. Through the combination of technological performance and distinctive local market and sales expertise, the partners offer transparent, stable and future-proof payment solutions for retail, gastronomy and services.
Many companies – from small cafés to growing e-commerce companies – work with payment systems whose processes are often difficult to understand. Prices are difficult to compare, conditions are opaque and technical relationships are complex. At the same time, the demand for stability, speed, transparency and availability is increasing.
“In discussions with merchants, it is becoming increasingly clear that if we want more acceptance for cashless payment transactions, payment must not remain a mystery box,” says SwiPay CEO Hartmut Eisele. “With Beyond by RS2, we have gained a technology partner that shares our attitude towards fair and transparent payments. Together, we want to create sustainable added value for the D-A-CH market. If you look at the market developments of recent months, this is revolutionary.”

The collaboration also aims to make ep2 – a central standard for Swiss payments – more accessible and better connected to the D-A-CH region. SwiPay is using its ep2 expertise to support the market launch of Beyond by RS2 in Switzerland and ensure that merchants can use this standard. The ep2 ecosystem creates a common basis for all payment terminals and cards in Switzerland and supports modern security mechanisms such as encryption, key generation and certificates to protect transactions. ep2 enables the processing of many different card brands (Visa, Mastercard, National Payments) on one terminal.
