Search & Research<\/h1><\/div>

Seven search areas, one principle: you fill in mandatory fields, start the search, filter and export. Here you can find out what each area does and what you need to pay attention to.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

PRINCIPLE<\/h6><\/div>

What applies to every search<\/h2><\/div>

All seven search areas in the MOP work according to the same pattern. Once you have understood this, you will find your way around everywhere.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Mandatory fields first<\/h4><\/div>
<\/div>
\n

Each search mask has mandatory fields, recognizable by the red asterisk. You must fill in at least these fields, otherwise the search will not start. The time frame<\/strong> is always mandatory by default.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Observe time periods<\/h4><\/div>

Data is available for 180 days retrospectively. In authorizations, transactions and payments, individual searches are limited to a maximum of 31 days<\/strong>. If you need more, make several searches.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Date format<\/h4><\/div>
<\/div>
\n

Always enter dates in the format TT.MM.JJJJ<\/code>. Alternatively, select via the calendar function – this also shows you on which days dates are available.<\/p>\n<\/div>

<\/i><\/span><\/div>

Amounts with decimal point<\/h4><\/div>
<\/div>
\n

For amounts, the decimal point<\/strong> is the decimal separator, not the period. 15,99<\/code> is correct. 15.99<\/code> is interpreted by the system as 1.599,00<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Hit limit<\/h4><\/div>
<\/div>
\n

A search will show a maximum of 3000 hits. If you get more, you will have to narrow the search or split the time period.<\/p>\n<\/div>

You can display advanced filters in the transaction search – such as processing and settlement date or merchant zip code. Weniger Suchkriterien<\/code> fades them out again.<\/p>\n<\/div>

THE SEVEN SEARCH AREAS<\/h6><\/div>

What each area does<\/h2><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Authorizations<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Here you can search for authorization requests to the card issuer – the first step of every payment process. Approved or declined, with reason code.<\/p>\n

What you need it for:<\/strong> To understand the reasons for refusal (e.g. card expired, PIN incorrect), to check whether a specific authorization has been issued, to view reservations and cancellations.<\/p>\n

Important search parameters:<\/strong> Transaktionsdatum<\/code> (mandatory, max. 31 days), Transaktionszeit<\/code>, Transaktionsbetrag von\u2013bis<\/code>, Transaktionsw\u00e4hrung<\/code>, Referenznummer<\/code>, Autorisierungsnummer<\/code> (6 digits), Terminal-ID<\/code> (8 digits).<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> In the result you will see the Action Code<\/code>. 000<\/code> means “successful”, other codes such as 101<\/code> (card expired) or 117<\/code> (PIN incorrect) show the reason for rejection. Full text description in the detailed view.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Transactions<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

The central search area for your actual transactions. Here you can see what was posted, processed and billed and when.<\/p>\n

What you need it for:<\/strong> Tracking daily turnover, finding individual transactions (by card number, reference or terminal), checking processing status, supplying accounting with individual data.<\/p>\n

Basic mask vs. extended mask:<\/strong> In the basic screen, the most common filters (date, amount, currency, brand, status, reference, card number, terminal ID). Via Mehr Suchkriterien<\/code> you can open extended fields such as processing and settlement date, merchant zip code or customer number.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> If you search for Brand and the processing status is verarbeitet<\/code>, the field Brandprodukt<\/code> will also appear. This allows you to filter specifically for Visa Debit or Mastercard Corporate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Collector<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Collectors are daily transactions per terminal. Here you can see how many transactions were summarized in which amount on one day.<\/p>\n

What you need this for:<\/strong> reconciling the daily closing of a terminal, assigning a collector ID to a specific payout, clarifying differences between the cash balance and the bank credit.<\/p>\n

Important search parameters:<\/strong> Cutoff-Datum<\/code> (mandatory), Sammler-ID<\/code> (max. 7 digits), Terminal-ID<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Balances<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Balances show you the outstanding amount that has not yet been paid out. Important for liquidity planning.<\/p>\n

What you need it for: To<\/strong> see what amounts are currently “in the pipeline”. Estimate payment dates. Recognize differences between target and actual payments.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Payments<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Payments are the actual payments to your bank account – including date, amount and reference to the associated transactions.<\/p>\n

Why you need this:<\/strong> Check whether a payout has been received. Compare payout totals with bank account statement. Drill down to the individual transactions of a payout.<\/p>\n

Drill-down tip:<\/strong> If a value in the column is underlined – such as the payout amount – you can click on it to see the associated transactions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Chargebacks<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Chargebacks are chargebacks carried out by the card issuer – triggered, for example, by a complaint from the cardholder.<\/p>\n

What you need it for:<\/strong> Overview of all chargebacks in the period, check the reason for the complaint and the amount involved, early warning if the chargeback rate increases.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> Chargebacks have legal deadlines. If you find a chargeback unjustified, clarify this promptly with your TeleCash contact person – objection deadlines are often short.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>Interchange<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n

Interchange data shows the interchange fee – i.e. the share of the transaction retained by the card issuer. Only relevant for merchants with an IC++ model.<\/p>\n

What you need it for:<\/strong> Detailed breakdown of your acquiring costs, comparison of interchange rates by card brand, optimization of your condition structure.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> This area is only visible if it has been activated separately. If you work with blended pricing, this search area is not available. Mandatory fields are Verarbeitungsdatum<\/code> and Brand<\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

If you are looking for a specific transaction, enter as many filters as possible. Otherwise you will quickly reach the hit limit of 3000 and unspecific searches will take longer.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Underlined values in results lists are clickable and take you to the next level – for example, from a payout to the individual transactions. Saves a whole separate query.<\/p>\n<\/div>
