Understanding payment<\/h1><\/div>

Payment is part of everyday life for many companies. An amount is recorded, the payment is confirmed and the money flows. As long as this process works, there is little reason to concern yourself with it. Payment remains in the background – present, but not in focus. <\/p>\n

Only when something no longer seems right does the issue come to the fore. Charges can no longer be clearly assigned, billing becomes confusing and it is often unclear who is actually responsible when queries arise. At such moments, it becomes clear that payment is more than just a technical process. <\/p>\n

Payment is not a single product or a clearly defined service. It is an evolved system of technical processes, contractual regulations, participating parties and different cost models. In most cases, this system functions reliably, but it is rarely structured so transparently that it can be understood at first glance. <\/p>\n

Why payment is often difficult to compare<\/h3>\n

You don’t need to know every detail to be able to handle payment well. What is crucial is a basic understanding of how the individual elements interact and why decisions in payment are often difficult to compare.
